Testing for electrical installations with reliable measuring devices <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Installers and technicians are responsible for providing safe electrical installations. After installation, repair or modification, different points are inspected using one or more measuring devices. It\u2019s important to make sure that these measuring devices, such as installation and appliance testers, are functioning properly and take measurements according to the standard, such as the NEN 1010 for low-voltage installations and the NEN 3140 for electrical work equipment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using measuring devices that deviate from the calibrated values not only results in inaccurate measurement results, incorrect advice and invalid reports, but in the worst-case scenario, injury or fire could result from short circuits or overloaded components. Routine calibration and maintenance of testing and measuring equipment is therefore indispensable for installation companies to ensure the quality of their inspection and handover processes.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Proper maintenance and periodic calibration of your measuring devices will not only prevent costs of failure due to incorrectly approved or rejected measurements: with a calibrated and well-maintained measuring device you can also avoid the need to retake measurements, enter into lengthy discussions or get caught up in warranty issues with customers.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
